My Prayer

Many great works were unveiled long ago that some individuals continue today; others embark on new soil in expectation of leaving a heritage for a future generation. There are the warriors in prayer, determined to touch the face of heaven through their tears that brings joy and the harvest. The rest live indolent, apathetic, lethargic, and weary because of the day and shall no more be fruitful, lest a purge come.

What shall follow my hands when I pass? Who shall go in my steps when I no more walk? Where will a voice appear when my words are heard no more? Will anyone feel the burden when my heart fails to beat? My work shall not be in vain because of the foundation that others have laid before me; my work shall not be in vain because of the numerous who call upon the name of the LORD; and my work shall not be in vain because someone who was touched by the hand of God, is changed forever and will carry on the testimony which was formed in the beginning, by the lamb slain from the foundation of the world. My labor shall not be in vain because the works of my hands are established by the beauty of our LORD and God. (Psalms 90:17)
